Which skin types are not suitable for the AquaFacial device?

The device is suitable for all skin types. It offers different intensity levels and can be adjusted to the needs of different skin types.

The AquaFacial device is generally very versatile and customizable, making it suitable for most skin types. However, there are some specific skin conditions and states where caution should be exercised or where the AquaFacial device may not be the best option.

1. Active skin infections

Individuals with active skin infections, such as bacterial or viral infections (e.g. herpes simplex), should avoid using the AquaFacial device until the infection has completely resolved to prevent worsening of the infection.

2. Severe acne or inflammatory acne

In cases of severe or inflammatory acne, especially cysts or deep pustules, the AquaFacial device may further irritate the skin. In such cases, treatment by a dermatologist should be considered.

3. Rosacea in the acute stage

People with severe or active rosacea may be sensitive to some of the steps in the AquaFacial process, especially peels and vacuum extraction. It is important to choose a mild and gentle treatment or consult a dermatologist beforehand.

4. Fresh wounds or scars

Fresh cuts, wounds or surgical scars should be completely healed before using the AquaFacial device to avoid placing additional stress on the skin or impairing healing.

5. Severe eczema or psoriasis

In severe cases of eczema or psoriasis, the skin may be particularly sensitive or irritated. It is advisable to have such skin conditions treated by a dermatologist first before considering cosmetic treatments such as AquaFacial.

Conclusion

While the AquaFacial device is suitable for many skin types, people with certain skin conditions or diseases should exercise caution and, if necessary, consult a dermatologist before undergoing the treatment to ensure that no additional stress or irritation is caused to the skin and that the treatment can be performed safely and effectively.
